Longmont Public Media is a nonprofit public access tv station and media makerspace devoted to the education, production, and distribution of local media that matters.

• Co-founded, launched, ran, and grew a media makerspace, a 5,000 sq ft facility with content creation studios and equipment, to over 800 members and ~$400K in revenue.
• Designed and implemented internal operational processes across HR, operations, IT, finance, fundraising, and other organizational functions.
• Was the primary representative of the organization to its members, public, community groups, City of Longmont staff, and local elected officials.
• Oversaw staff, created a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostered an active base of content creators/members, and worked with the Board of Directors to create and implement a long term strategy that will maximize our sustainability and community impact.

Innovate Longmont is a startup platform for entrepreneurs with innovative and transformative ideas.

• Co-ran a local accelerator platform supporting early-stage, high-tech, and innovative startups.
• Provided strategic guidance and mentorship to founders navigating funding, growth, and product-market fit.

Longmont Observer - President & Co-Founder

The Longmont Observer is a community-supported nonprofit news and media organization that brings local journalists and volunteers together.

• Co-founded and launched a nonpartisan, community-run digital newspaper focused on local news and information for Longmont residents.
• Developed the website, news gathering processes, automations, and volunteer opportunities.
• Grew readership from zero to 75,000 readers and over 150,000 pageviews.
• Worked with The Compass Experiment and McClatchy to transition Longmont Observer assets into a new local newspaper.
• Pitched the concept of Longmont Public Media and won a government contract to run Longmont’s Public Access TV channels.

• Assisted entrepreneurs and small business owners in navigating and finding local and state resources.
• Managed and awarded local entrepreneurial grants, oversaw the local enterprise zone, and collaborated with city and county partners to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
• Co-designed and ran the Innovate Longmont accelerator program for early-stage high-tech startups, later spun out as a separate 501(c)(3).
