About Me

A bit about who I am, what I do, and what drives me.

I’m Sergio Angeles — a community-driven media strategist, entrepreneur, and nonprofit leader with a passion for building things that empower others. I’ve co-founded media organizations, launched creative makerspaces, designed operational systems, built apps, and guided teams through growth, change, and innovation.

I currently serve as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Longmont Public Media, a nonprofit media makerspace and public access station dedicated to helping our community create and share meaningful content. I also run and consult on technology, digital media, and operational design projects for various organizations.

My background spans software development, nonprofit leadership, startup ecosystems, mobile engineering, and community engagement — with a strong focus on empowering creators, entrepreneurs, and local voices.

Outside of work, I love cycling Colorado trails, watching movies, playing games (video and board), traveling, and exploring good food and coffee. My first language is Spanish, and have acquired some knowledge of French, German, and Portuguese.

I'm married to my wife and best friend Ellen. We live in Longmont, CO, one of the best kept "secrets", although not sure if it is anymore.

This website is currently built using Django and Bootstrap. With the help of AI, cause frontend is my weak spot.
